Spending time in Italy’s Amalfi coast is a dream come true in many ways, and experiencing life in the bustling town of Positano is a wonderful realization of that Amalfi dream.  Follow me on my photo-journey through Positano and get to be a part of that lovely dream.

The best start to any day in Positano begins with a lovely Cappuccino while looking out at the breathtaking blue sea.  What a lovely way to awaken the senses and take in the natural beauty of this part of the world.

After your coffee, take a stroll through the narrow stair-lined streets of Positano, and experience the lovely views and local habitats around you.  It begs one to think, “what a lovely way to live”?

After a few hundred stairs, you catch a view of the center of Positano, where the crowds gather to sun on the rocky shore, or shop, or eat in a local cafe.  It’s worth it to grab a snack, like salad with fennel and a pizza before your trek back up the stairs…

 

After a leisurely afternoon, consider taking a drive through town and along the coast to catch a brilliant sunset at the lovely Hotel San Pietro.

And oh what lovely sunsets they are…

 

After a lovely set of views, take in a lovely meal at De Vincenzo, and enjoy the fruits of a Positano feast.  From fresh pasta and seafood, to luscious vegetables and delicious wine.  The local flavors will not disappoint.  Positano and Amalfi cuisine highlights fresh flavors, spice, and lemon, and I was taken by how much lovely fennel was in every meal.

From the views to flavors, sounds to the smells, Positano will take you on a full journey of the senses.  And will awaken you into a lovely dream from first to last sight.  It’s amazing that people really do live this way…
