Friday #Photo-cation – Hopkins, Belize: Haute Travel

I love a good beach, and relish revisiting some old spots I have toured along the way. This photo-cation, check out Hopkins, Belize- a small town with a lot of local charm- which is a great jump-off point to the cays (pronounced keys- a set of islands off the coast of Belize, named #1 beaches by tripadvisor last year. Hopkins is quaint, the locals are friendly, the food is divine, and the water is warm. Just watch out for sand flies at dusk and dawn, and the occasional crab trying to get into your sunrise shot.

No matter where you end up this long weekend, remember to soak in the relaxation.

let the sun shine in…#OM

I am lucky to be able to travel around the country on a regular basis, and no matter where I go, I often try to find a yoga class during my trip.  Yoga for me has been a way to get better in touch with my body, and understand what it needs to be the most effective for my life.  Doing yoga around the country has allowed me to experience various styles, and understand what I like and what I should do to keep myself balanced and whole.  Like wine, yoga can be as different as the studio, teacher, style and experience, and it’s definitely worth sharing both internally and externally.

Here is a list of some of my favorite yoga spots from the left to the right coast.  (Note:  I will keep updating this post as I attend more classes to ensure we cover all the good spots.)

Friday #Photo-cation, San Francisco, CA: Haute Travel

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is a welcome sight to all who visit SF, but do you know where this view is from? It’s from the equally iconic China Beach, the spot where many early Chinese settlers and those who worked on the famous bridge called home on the peninsula in the sea. Very haute and historic indeed.
